Ken Scott has joined Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) as group engineering director. He moves from Bentley Motors where he was director of whole vehicle engineering. Says Scott: “It wasn’t a difficult decision to join ADL, albeit that I’ve spent 20 great years with Bentley and, prior to that, seven years with the Land Rover Group. ADL’s performance in recent years speaks for itself. The business has tripled in size, increased its international footprint significantly and introduced a whole host of leading-edge products.

“At the end of the day, great brands never fade. They simply need nurturing by bringing together the best of today with the best of tomorrow. Evolution rather than revolution is the foundation of automotive companies with distinction, heritage and sheer know-how. ADL is one of those companies and I look forward to being part of the team that will take it to yet another, new level.”
Colin Robertson, ADL chief executive officer, says: “Ken brings with him vast experience in technical management, the introduction and integration of sophisticated systems across multiple products, and in driving forward new product development projects. All of these factors will be critical as we take the business forward. Ken’s appointment is an integral part of our strategy to offer world-leading products, class-leading reliability and outstanding customer service.
