After 60 years of trading on the same site Derek J Ketteringham Motors LTD has announced he is to close shop and retire.

Anyone who regularly traverses the A406 North Circular Road in Neasden will have bound to have passed this time warp showroom that features period BL / Austin Rover font and illuminated window signs. Derek opened the showroom in 1954 and shortly after acquired a Standard -Triumph retail franchise that lead to an association with BL in to the Austin Rover era for just over 30 years.

Now into his 80`s specialising in used cars, Derek has decided to sell the land for re-development into housing and expects the Council planning application to be accepted by the end of the month. He told AUTOBRITANNIA “ I expect and would like all the loose ends tied up by the end of this financial year “. He cites difficult trading conditions and red tape legislation as the prime reason for calling it a day.
