UK Dealers are beginning to see the first signs of integration of the Vauxhall and PSA retail networks following PSA’s acquisition of GM’s Opel and Vauxhall business in Europe last year.
According to papers lodged at Companies House Peugeot Citroen Retail CEO James Weston and finance and group strategy director Simon Lawrence have been appointed to the board of Go Motor Retailing, which trades as Go Vauxhall.

A spokesman for Vauxhall told Motor Trader: “Going forward, the new leadership team will be in a strong position to consider how best to respond strategically to the evolving UK market and start to shape the next successful chapter for the business.
“These appointments signal just part of the PACE plan launched by Opel Vauxhall in November 2017 to immediately unleash the Vauxhall performance in the UK and pave the way to a sustainable future”
In 2017 the anti-trust authorities gave the go ahead to PSA’s acquisition of GM’s Opel and Vauxhall business in Europe.
Following the acquisition dealer property specialist Knight Frank forecasted some “network reorganisation” in the retail networks of PSA and Vauxhall in the UK.
Consolidation is the name of the game. If i worked for VAUXHALL at any level, I would jump now!
